The Large Operators Council (LOC) is a group of Self storage owners or operators with 10 or more facilities and at least 1,000,000 rentable square feet of self storage. LOC members must also be members of the SSA in good standing. The LOC membership is $2,000 per year and is paid directly to the LOC.

This group of self storage owners meets at least twice a year at SSA Conferences to discuss issues that are pertinent to owners of multiple facilities. These meetings allow owners to network and share knowledge in a friendly atmosphere. Owners find these sessions the most valuable of the conferences and the relationships built last a lifetime. The LOC Board chooses the speakers and topics of discussion at the meetings and ensures that the speakers and topics are geared to large owners.
